Por resolución de la Dirección General de Ciencia e Investigación de la Consellería de Innovación, Universidades, Ciencia y Sociedad Digital de la Generalitat Valenciana se ha concedido la Ayuda para Grupos de Investigación de Excelencia – Programa Prometeo, CIPROM2021/082 con el título: Molecular mechanisms of the neurological (cognitive and motor) alterations in hyperammonemia and hepatic encephalopathy. Therapeutic implications.
La ayuda se ha concedido a la Fundación CV Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF) y en el proyecto participan investigadores del CIPF, de la Fundación INCLIVA, del Instituto de Agroquímica y Tecnología de Alimentos (IATA) del CSIC y del Departamento de Psicobiología de la Universidad de Valencia.
En el marco de esta ayuda CIPROM2021/082 se convoca un contrato pre-doctoral según se detalla abajo. El contrato se realizará en el CIPF y la persona contratada desarrollará su labor de investigación en el laboratorio de Neurociencia Social Cognitiva, Área de Psicobiología del IDOCAL.
La persona elegida se encargará de la valoración neuropsicológica y conductual de los voluntarios participantes en el proyecto Prometeo. Ello consistirá principalmente en la evaluación neuropsicológica de la función cognitiva y motora empleando tests psicométricos y de laboratorio que permitan valorar funciones ejecutivas y mentales complejas, necesarias para la planificación de la acción, la adaptación al ambiente y el logro de metas, cuya alteración tendría un importante impacto negativo en la actividad de la vida diaria. Algunos dominios concretos son memoria de trabajo, control inhibitorio, fluencia verbal, atención, flexibilidad cognitive y planificación.

The aid has been granted to the Fundación CV Príncipe Felipe Research Center (CIPF) and in the project participate researchers from the CIPF, the INCLIVA Foundation, the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA) of the CSIC and the Department of Psychobiology of the University of Valencia.
Within the framework of this grant CIPROM2021/082, a predoctoral contract is announced as detailed below. The contract will be done at the CIPF and the contracted person will carry out their research work in the Laboratory of Social Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychobiology Research Group of IDOCAL.
The candidate’s main task will consist in the neuropsychological and behavioral assessment of the participants in the Prometeo project. This includes the evaluation of cognitive and motor functions, employing psychometric and laboratory tests to assess executive functions and complex mental activities necessary to plan behavior, adapt to the environment and achieve goals, whose dysfunctions have a great impact on daily life activity. Some main components are working memory, inhibitory control, verbal fluency, attention, mental flexibility and planning.
