Por resolución de la Dirección General de Ciencia e Investigación de la Consellería de Innovación, Universidades, Ciencia y Sociedad Digital de la Generalitat Valenciana se ha concedido la Ayuda para Grupos de Investigación de Excelencia – Programa Prometeo, CIPROM2021/082 con el título: Molecular mechanisms of the neurological (cognitive and motor) alterations in hyperammonemia and hepatic encephalopathy. Therapeutic implications.
La ayuda se ha concedido a la Fundación CV Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF) y en el proyecto participan investigadores del CIPF, de la Fundación INCLIVA, del Instituto de Agroquímica y Tecnología de Alimentos (IATA) del CSIC y del Departamento de Psicobiología de la Universidad de Valencia.
En el marco de esta ayuda CIPROM2021/082 se convoca un contrato post-doctoral según se detalla abajo. El contrato se realizará en el CIPF y la persona contratada desarrollará su labor de investigación en el laboratorio de Neurobiologia del CIPF
La persona contratada participará principalmente en los siguientes estudios del grupo:
1) Caracterización de alteraciones en el inmunofenotipo y en el perfil de citocinas en sangre
2) Análisis de los cambios en la composición de la microbiota y en los metabolitos producidos por la microbiota (ácidos grasos de cadena corta y vía Trp-kinurenina)
3) Caracterización de los cambios en las vesículas extracelulares procedentes de la microbiota y análisis de sus efectos sobre el sistema inmune
4) Papel de las vesículas extracelulares del sistema inmune en la inducción de alteraciones cognitivas y motoras en ratas hiperamonémicas. Mecanismos moleculares
5) Efectos terapéuticos de las vesículas extracelulares de células madre mesenquimales para revertir las alteraciones cognitivas y motoras en ratas con hiperamonemia crónica.

By resolution of the Directorate General for Science and Research of the Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Grant for Research Groups of Excellence - Prometeo Programme, CIPROM2021/082 has been awarded with the title: Molecular mechanisms of the neurological (cognitive and motor) alterations in hyperammonemia and hepatic encephalopathy. Therapeutic implications.
The grant has been awarded to the Fundación CV Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF) and the project involves researchers from the CIPF, the INCLIVA Foundation, the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA) of the CSIC and the Department of Psychobiology of the University of Valencia.
Within the framework of this grant CIPROM2021/082 a post-doctoral contract is announced as detailed below. The contract will be carried out at the CIPF and the person hired will develop his/her research work in the Neurobiology laboratory of the CIPF.
The hired person will mainly participate in the following studies of the group:
1) Characterization of alterations in immunophenotype and cytokine profile in blood.
2) Analysis of changes in microbiota composition and metabolites produced by the microbiota (short-chain fatty acids and Trp-kinurenine pathway).
3) Characterization of changes in extracellular vesicles from the microbiota and analysis of their effects on the immune system.
4) Role of extracellular vesicles from the immune system in the induction of cognitive and motor alterations in hyperammonemic rats. Molecular mechanisms
5) Therapeutic effects of mesenchymal stem cell extracellular vesicles in reversing cognitive and motor impairment in chronically hyperammonemic rats.
