Por resolución de la Dirección General de Ciencia e Investigación de la Consellería de Innovación, Universidades, Ciencia y Sociedad Digital de la Generalitat Valenciana se ha concedido la Ayuda para Grupos de Investigación de Excelencia – Programa Prometeo, CIPROM2021/082 con el título: Molecular mechanisms of the neurological (cognitive and motor) alterations in hyperammonemia and hepatic encephalopathy. Therapeutic implications.
La ayuda se ha concedido a la Fundación CV Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF) y en el proyecto participan investigadores/as del CIPF, de la Fundación INCLIVA, del Instituto de Agroquímica y Tecnología de Alimentos (IATA) del CSIC y del Departamento de Psicobiología de la Universidad de Valencia.
En el marco de esta ayuda CIPROM2021/082 se convoca un contrato post-doctoral según se detalla a continuación. El contrato se realizará en el CIPF y la persona contratada desarrollará su labor de investigación en el Laboratorio de Deterioro Neurológico de INCLIVA.
La persona contratada participará principalmente en los siguientes estudios:
1) Caracterización de alteraciones cognitivas y motoras y en funciones ejecutivas en pacientes con hepatopatía crónica.
2) Caracterizar los cambios en inmunofenotipo e inflamación asociados al deterioro cognitivo en pacientes con enfermedad de hígado graso no alcohólica (NAFLD)
3) Evaluar los efectos del tratamiento con rifaximina sobre las alteraciones cognitivas y motoras, en funciones ejecutivas y en inflamación en pacientes con enfermedad hepática
4) Evaluación de la utilidad del análisis de movimientos oculares para el diagnóstico temprano del deterioro cognitivo leve en pacientes cirróticos o NAFLD

The aid has been granted to the Fundación CV Príncipe Felipe Research Center (CIPF) and in the project participate researchers from the CIPF, the INCLIVA Foundation, the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA) of the CSIC and the Department of Psychobiology of the University of Valencia.
Within the framework of this CIPROM2021/082 grant, a postdoctoral contract is announced as detailed below. The contract will be done at the CIPF and the contracted person will carry out their research work in the Neurological Impairment Laboratory of INCLIVA
The person hired will mainly participate in the following studies:
1) Characterization of cognitive and motor alterations and in executive functions in patients with chronic liver disease.
2) Characterization of changes in immunophenotype and inflammation associated with cognitive impairment in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
3) Evaluation of the effects of rifaximin treatment on cognitive and motor alterations, executive functions and inflammation in patients with liver disease
4) Evaluation of the utility of eye movement analysis for the early diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment in patients with liver cirrhosis or NAFLD.
