El puesto de trabajo estará enmarcado en la participación en el proyecto Europeo NanoBiCAR (https://nanobicar.webs.upv.es/), basado en el tratamiento de infecciones bacterianas con un enfoque inmunoterapéutico innovador y revolucionario, en el que utilizando la tuberculosis como prueba de concepto, se emplearán tres plataformas inmunoterapéuticas que utilizan ARNm encapsulados en nanopartículas lipídicas para eliminar bacterias intracelulares (IC) y extracelulares (EC).

Las funciones y tareas asociadas al puesto de trabajo serán el apoyo en el diseño, la síntesis y caracterización de nanopartículas lipídicas, así como la realización de ensayos para evaluar las nanopartículas in vitro (citotoxicidad, eficiencia de transfección, selectividad, internalización) e in vivo (toxicidad, biodistribución, expresión).

Using tuberculosis as a proof of concept, three immunotherapeutic platforms will be employed that utilize mRNA encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles to eliminate intracellular (IC) and extracellular (EC) bacteria.

The functions and tasks associated with the position will include supporting the design, synthesis, and characterization of lipid nanoparticles, as well as conducting assays to evaluate the nanoparticles in vitro (cytotoxicity, transfection efficiency, selectivity, internalization) and in vivo (toxicity, biodistribution, expression).
